AGS provided geotechnical engineering services for Park Tower at Transbay Block 5, a new mixed-use office development near the corner of Beale and Howard Streets. AGS' Geotechnical staff performed three borings, eight CPTs, and lab work at the firm's in-house facility. The block was transformed into a 43-floor class-A+ multi-tenant office building comprised of approximately 700,000 rentable square feet. The base of the office tower includes outdoor public space, retail tenants, and a multi-story lobby. The project incorporates two levels of underground parking below street level.

The project achieved LEED Gold certification and incorporated numerous sustainable design strategies and highly-efficient building systems. The benefits of the sustainable design include providing a healthy work environment for occupants, contributing to the community with an environmentally sensitive building, and providing lower operating expenses to the tenants.
